For true lovers of steam travel this tour offers up to six hours of steam travel with breaks in Stratford upon Avon and in Birmingham Snow Hill Station.

Travelling on the same train as described in the Merchant of Avon Tour 1 we offer the opportunity to stay on board for the two hour return trip to Birmingham Snow Hill from Stratford upon Avon giving a total of over six hours behind steam (from Burton on Trent).

After a thrilling journey from Burton to Stratford you will have a break of around one hour in Stratford, plenty of time for a leg stretch, a photo or two and a bite to eat. Then its time to rejoin our steam train for a one hour ride through Hatton and Dorridge to Birmingham Snow Hill where our arrival is bound to cause quite a stir. We have a short break of around twenty minutes before returning to Stratford through Wood End and Henley in Arden. A rare sight on the outward leg to Snow Hill will be to see the steam locomotive run tender first on the main line.

On arriving back into Stratford upon Avon there will be a break of around two hours before departure back to Burton on Trent. Time for a little sightseeing in this charming town.
