Scarborough Steam Trip Special

Departs: Saturday 17 May 2014

From Skegness, Wainfleet, Heckington, Boston and Sleaford:

Join us on a very special day out from Skegness and stations to Sleaford aboard our steam hauled excursion to Scarborough. It has been some time since a steam hauled train departed from Skegness to offer a day out to local people with steam haulage offered all the way to the destination.

We expect to depart around 0615 from Skegness making our way through Sleaford, Lincoln, Doncaster and York to Yorkshires premier coastal resort of Scarborough. This really is a chance to step back in time and enjoy a nostalgic day out to remember.

Our engine and heritage rolling stock will be provided by West Coast Railways and we will offer standard, first class and dining seats. Dining will include breakfast, light lunch and dinner served on board the train.

We expect to have a break of two to three hours in Scarborough and hope to return along the Wolds Coast Line through Bridlington. Please note the return train will be diesel hauled from Scarborough back to Skegness as time constraints mean we cannot operate steam in both directions and, if time does not allow, we may return via York rather than the Wolds Coast.

This is a great chance to step back in time and early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment as this is bound to be a very popular tour.
