Combine the stunning scenery of the Peak District with the magnificent views to be seen
from the Cumbrian Coast Line on our circular tour from the East Coast.

Departing Cleethorpes around 0600 (Scunthorpe approx 0700) we travel through Sheffield
and across the Hope Valley Line which cuts through the Peak District, offering splendid
mountain views from the train. Continuing west we head through Preston and Lancaster
before passing Morecambe Bay on our way to the Cumbrian Coast. From Lancaster we
skirt the coast as our train wends its way through Grange Over Sands, Barrow In Furness
and Whitehaven northwards to Carlisle where we break om journey for two to three hours.

The scenery along the coast is quite dramatic as the railway is squeezed between the Irish Sea
and the mountains of the English Lakes. After our break we head east through the rolling
scenery of the Tyne Valley with views ofHadrians Wall and the River Tyne before heading
south for home stations, with arrival into Scunthorpe approx 2145 and Cleethorpes around
2245. Passengers who book dining will be served a full English breakfast, elevenses and a
four course dinner to their reserved Premier class seat on board the train
