Oxford and the Cotswolds 2012

Departs Saturday 13th October 2012 from Bridlington, Driffield, Beverley, Cottingham, Brough, Howden, Selby, Doncaster and Swinton.

The dreamy spires of Oxford, Inspector Morse Country, combine with the beauty of the Cotswolds to make a great circular tour from Cleethorpes and stations to Doncaster. Departing Bridlington around 0600 (Brough around 0710 and Doncaster approx 0800, for example) we make our way towards Worcester from where we plan to take the scenic line through Evesham and the Cotswolds to the historic university city of Oxford. (Please note, should the route through Evesham not be available we will take the equally scenic Golden Valley Line from Worcester through Stroud and Kendle to Oxford).

After enjoying the glorious scenery of the Cotswolds we expect to arrive into Oxford around 1330 for a break of three to four hours. After enjoying this atmospheric and bustling city with its magnificent architecture inspiring memories of Morse, Lewis and Harry Potter we return via Banbury to Doncaster (approx 2015) and on to Bridlington arriving back around 2230.
