The Portsmouth Pullman

Doncaster to Portsmouth
Departs – Saturday 17 March 2018

From Doncaster, Retford, Newark, Grantham, Peterborough, Huntingdon and St Neots.

Our destination is Portsmouth - birthplace of Charles Dickens and home to the Royal Navy for over 200 years. Visit the Naval Museum and marvel at Britain's maritime history and historic warships at the traditional home port of the Royal Navy. The town lays claim to having the world's oldest continuously used dry dock and there are regular harbour tours offering unrivalled views of Britain's modern frigates, destroyers, helicopter carriers, as well as historic buildings and other sights. Portsmouth is home to various maritime museums as well as some very famous battleships such as HMS Victory and the Mary Rose. As well as all the local sea-bound attractions the nearby town boasts plenty of other shops and eateries.

Beside our destination station is the glorious green space of Victoria Park - covering 15 acres and with an exotic bird aviary at its heart. Take a short walk in the direction of the harbour and you will see the Spinnaker Tower on the harbour - twice as tall as Nelsons Column and visible from the Isle of Wight.

Pullman Dining includes a full English Settle to Carlisle Linebreakfast with complimentary Bucks Fizz and a light lunch or elevenses, depending on finalised timings, on the outward journey. Champagne and canapés followed by a delicious four course dinner accompanied by a half bottle of wine will be served on the return leg.

Pullman First Class passengers will be served complimentary teas and coffees along with a breakfast bap on the outward journey and afternoon tea consisting of a sandwich and scone on the return journey.

Standard and First Class passengers have access to a buffet for the purchase of light refreshments.

First Class and Pullman Dining passengers can book a private table for a supplement of £20.00 per person.
