Skegness to Chester or Llandudno
Departing Skegness around 0620 our tour to North Wales takes our vintage diesel hauled Pullman train across the breadth of England as we make our way towards Chester, our first option for the day. If you choose to stay in Chester we expect a break of six hours or so, plenty of time to enjoy the numerous attractions of this walled city, famous for its Roman connections.
For those staying aboard beyond Chester we have a series of delightful sea views along the North Wales Coast as we head for the classic resort of Llandudno with its Victorian feel. Boasting a magnificent promenade and vintage tramway up the Great Orme, Llandudno is North Wales premier resort and offers some stunning views as well as a traditional pier and plenty of shops to keep us occupied during our break of around three hours. At this time of year Llandudno hosts its annual Victorian weekend so there will be lots of extra themed activities to enjoy and shopkeepers will be dressed in period costume adding to the atmosphere of the resort.
Pullman Dining passengers will be served a full English breakfast with complimentary Buck's Fizz plus elevenses or light lunch (depending on finalised timings), on the outward journey. A delicious four course evening dinner preceded by canapés and Champagne will be served on the return journey.
Pullman First Class passengers will be served pastries on the outward leg and a savoury of the day followed by cake will be served on the return journey. To accompany this there will be a complimentary service of tea and coffee.
Standard and First Class passengers will have access to a buffet for the purchase of tea, coffee and light refreshments. You are also welcome to bring your own refreshments or indeed a tasty picnic to enjoy as the countryside passes by!
