We chose Portsmouth as our winter destination because of the variety of attractions on offer.

Leaving the train at Portsmouth and Southsea means you hae the shops and attractions you would find in any large city. Stay on board to Portsmouth Harbour and you can choose from a wealth of museums, historic ships and visitor centres depicting Britains naval history.

Attractions close fo the Harbour Station include the Historic Dockyard, the Royal Naval Museum, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose. Also in the area is the Spinnaker Tower plus many other museums and places of interest.

Departing Scunthorpe early morming we make our way towards London and leaving the main line north of Kings Cross take the high level North London Line around the capital with views of the new Eurostar Terminal, Camden Market and the Thames on offer before joining Southern tracks for the run to Portsmouth.

Book Premier Dining and and enjoy breakfast, elevenses and a four course dinner served to your reserved Premier Class seat.

We expect to depart Scunthorpe around 0520 (Doncaster around 0600 and Peterborough around 0730) and, after a break of around three to four hours in Portsmouth, arrive back into Doncaster approximately 2320 and Scunthorpe at around 2300.
