Choose between the seaside attractions of Hastings with its 1066 connections or leave the train at Finsbury Park with its tube trains to central London for a full day in the Capital.

Departing Cleethorpes early morning (approximately 0520) and around one hour later from Scunthorpe we make our way down the East Coast Main Line towards London.

After calling at Finsbury Park for those passengers visiting the capital the train takes an interesting elevated route past the new Eurostar Terminal, through Camden and around London before travellilng along Southern tracks through the pretty scenery of the Downs, before reaching the south coast and Hastings.

Hasting has an interersting old town to explore with numerous antique shops plus a long seafront and all the usual attrractions of an English seaside resort.

After a break of two to three hours in Hastings we return via Finsbury Park to Cleethorpes were we expect to arrive around 2315 (Scunthorpe around one hour earlier). We expect to have around eight hours free time in London for those passengers who leave the train at Finsubury Park.
