From our Carnforth base we maintain our fleet of heritage coaching stock and main line diesel locomotives.
All our days out are operated utilising premier, first class and standard coaches drawn from this fleet.
Where premier dining is advertised this will include a full English breakfast and elevenses on the outward leg and four course dinner on the return journey all served to your reserved premier class seat.
First and standard class seats are all at tables adjacent to windows in roomy first and standard class ex inter-city main line carriages.
Our programme includes a series of day tours plus charter train weekends. On the weekend trips hotel accommodation with full en suite facilities, meals in hotels as detailed and transfers from the station to the hotel where required are included in the fare.
The carriages used on charter trains are roomy, clean and tidy but not modern. As such they bring back the feel of rail travel from days gone by and the trips are as much about enjoying a leisurely train ride as they are about visiting the destination. It should be remembered that charter trains are not considered time critical by Network Rail and can be delayed to allow the passage of high speed trains.
Our charter trains all convey a buffet or trolley service for the purchase of light refreshments.
All times shown are very approximate. Trains are timed by Network Rail one week before departure at which time an itinerary will be forwarded to all passengers.
